Hi there
Push seems to have no trouble 'grabbing' VST parameters in plugins - but it does not seem to see AudioUnit parameters. At the moment I am doing the 'configure' thing and then assign to macros, but it is really a lot of trouble... Am I missing something?
thanks!

Re: Push and AudioUnits
I'm only using AU currently, and have a couple of options for you.
OPTION #1 - Unfold Device Parameters:
Click the "Black Triangle" next to the AU on/off button in Ableton. That's the "Unfold Device Parameters" button.
From there you can assign whatever controls you want which I believe are then available via Push:
Step 1: Click [Plug-In Edit] Button inside the plugin on Ableton. (This should pop open the AU so you can see the plugins user interface.)
Step 2: Click the "Black Triangle" next to the AU on/off button in Ableton. That's the "Unfold Device Parameters" button.
Step 3: Click [Configure] from within the "Unfolded Device Parameters" section.
Step 4: Click/move a parameter you want to assign from the AU user interface.
Finished: You should see a horizontal fader with the name of the parameter you <clicked>/<Moved> pop up inside the Unfolded Device Parameter section.
Issue: I never tried to access this in Push, because on my first AU I had so many parameters assigned it was a mess on the screen... And so obviously tough to work with inside of Push. If you run into this, check out option #2
Max for Live:
I'm using M4L devices just so I can have each section of a AU (filter, oscillator, envelope) in a separate device which makes it much easier to jump between the various sections of an AU. You can take those M4L devices click the edit button and create devices for whatever AU you need. I'll post mine to the maxforlive.com site once I finish them. It might help people if anyone that leverages this option also publish their M4L devices as well!
I got the idea for the M4L device from...

I took the idea for the separate devices from...

Hope that's helpful for you, and maybe others out there.
Best,
Chris

Re: Push and AudioUnits
This sounds like a great initiative. I look forward to seeing and using your m4l devices.
