Hi just bought a novatation launchkey 49 for use in ableton but when i am playing certain notes (about 4 of them) they trigger like 5 notes at a time,any one have a reason behind this?

have reinstalled live,restarted macbook etc.. but its still happening,i can only put it down to a broken product if no one has an answer.

How many other devices are sharing the USB hub with the Launchkey? Is it a powered or unpowered hub?

For starters, try unplugging any unnecessary USB devices and try to get the Launchkey on a hub by itself. This can indicate that there's just too much data traffic on that hub, causing the MIDI confusion. A powered hub will sometimes clear up the problem too.
