Mixing Stems Live

Hi
I am new to Ableton as of this week although have been producing in Cubase for over 10 years.
I have looked a lot online and can't seem to find out how to do want I want exactly.
I have 14 finished songs that are each exported as stems in WAV format. There is up to 10 stems per song.
I am using a Novation LaunchKey 49.
This is what I need to do in order of importance:
1. Load stems for each song into Ableton - working
2. Add Sampler instruments with samples for each song - working
3. Transition from one song to another
4. Be able to change the pitch of a song after the transition
The songs are different tempos some are close enough to be beat matched if pitched or warped. While I can pre-pitch each song that is to be beat matched I would prefer to also alter the pitch after the song has been mixed in.
That is not the main issue though. I still don't know the best way to transition through so many stem tracks.
It seems I could load up all the stems into one big project but is that the only way? Can you load songs in two at a time like you were DJ'ing?
Any knowledge or links to what is the best way to do this would be a big help, I need to get this ready over the coming weeks.
