Can't authorize on Firefox

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to authorize Live Suite 9.1.1 on a computer with Windows 7, and I'm having trouble. When I clicked "Authorize on ableton.com" it opened Firefox, though I normally use Chrome.
...aaaand apparently I can't use pictures that are offline. Great.
It first showed me a dialog box saying I needed an application to open the .exe file. I had no idea what to do, so I clicked "Cancel". It them showed me a dialog box with a little spinning loading icon thing, saying it was trying to authorize. But eventually it just said the operation "timed out".
What am I supposed to do with this?
