Has anyone done any remixes in Ableton? I am trying to perfect this technique and would like some input as to wjat process some of you might use to remix a song.

If you could elaborate on such topics as Calculating BPM's, How to Time Stretch beat to match vocals etc...

Thanks in advance for your feedbak.

sound disciples ?
This is plural right ?
so does this mean there are more of you ?
are there many of you ? how many ?
Did any all of you get a english eduction ?
except the little one in the corner ?
So you can read english ?
and you can even find your way around on this message board ?
well somewhere hidden on this page there is a search button , try and locate it and the hit that button .
No, no not the screen , try and click it with the mouse ..there you go !
Try and type in : remix that is (repeat after me : r-e-m-i-x)
or do a global search on : "sasha" which will lead you to virtually every topic on this message board.

hey found another option for ya just by looking further than any other hiphopsnotnose , you can actually download the programm , go and ask your dad if it's allowed ( he might have to kill the firewall).

now you can go and try out for yourselfs ! Wow ain't that magical ?

but hey , ableton is not "hardcore" man , all your homies will frown upon you ,
believe me you beter buy a Motif (synth) and make some real dope stuff.

well i have to get back and catch the school bus ( damn detention)

bye bye

The best way to get an idea of what Live is capable of is to go here:

http://www.ableton.com/index.php?main=tutorials

-and check out the link marked 'Live Movies' particularly the one marked 'mix and remix' though there's a lot moe to this app than that.

I recommend watching all of them actually, then going through the tutorials, and then looking at the Tour on Live 5 at ableton's website.

You're going to get a far better idea if Live does what you want, by doing your own research in this way. There's far more info there than anyone on this (sometimes cynical  ) forum can possibly be arsed to type out for you.

Mind you, I suppose i could just have said "yes, it's the most perfect tool for remixing that money can buy" but then I'd be guilty of telling the truth.
