I'm working on a live looping setup at the moment and I'm finding Looper to be very useful to use to beatbox a quick loop and then have it set the session tempo from that. However looper isn't perfect - I can't find a way to get the audio from looper from my controller - I have to drag it with the mouse. And also, when you save the session, the looper's audio content isn't saved.
Is there any way of duplicating this functionality without using Looper? All I want to do is record a quick loop and then have it set the session to that tempo so that everything else is synced to it.
Setting the track tempo from a recorded clip like looper?

dude, this doesn't seem to be possible on ableton. I'm so bummed.
all I want:
make a midi loop
set the tempo to that loop
make that loop a clip
fuck around with other clips that will now play to that loop I first made.

Capture can kind of allow this. Have you used that feature? Lemme know if that leads you in the right direction
