beta-testers: how buggy did you find it?

obviously, the first days have seen quite a lot of bug reports because everybody was SO into it.
personnaly, i seldom had any crash, and looking at other ppl's posts, the beta seems quite stable. there are obviously some adjustments to be made with all the new features, and fixing bugs induces new ones, so the final release is not that close.
but the quantity of bug reports has slowed down a lot since b2, which is pretty good news, and there doesn't seem to be MAJOR problems.
if i remember well, we had 14 betas last year, but Live4 was a major upgrade. i wonder if we will get half of it this year.
well, maybe the 100% public betatest will prove me wrong...

I have only found some minor awkward things so far.
Feels very stable and well thought bottom up.
These guys are craftsmen/women and the response to the bug reports are very professional.

b1 had tons of bugs.
most of the big ones plus a majority of the small ones seemed to be squashed by b2.
right now i'd say b2 is about as stable as Logic 7.0 was.
which is not entirely stable, but stable "enough" for primetime. (at least in Apple's eyes, Ableton has higher standards i think)
i figure by b5 they'll be ready to roll.
with b1 i wouldnt have felt comfortable gigging on it. with b2 i'm about 50% comfortable.
i'd still like to see the auto-warping tweaked, and see if the "deep freeze" tweak we suggested on the freeze function would make it into at least 1 of the betas. startup time is a bit slow, that could be debug code. ram usage is high, that could be debug code. there are still some GUI bugs. and several plugins are still having little issues.
I think within the next 30 days, it will be a mean stallion

how come you none of the beta testers post a link to the beta along with the serial and unlock key? you got it for free and it only lasts until june 30th after all.

overall pretty solid, i had a chance to check out most of what i wanted to do with it ..
had enough small issues that i cant really use it yet to commit projects to

have to keep them in vs 4. which is killing me cause some of those features would really come in handy right now
but there was a huge jump in workabiity from beta 1 to 2. they're really on it imo few more betas and it will be there

Wouldn't that be useless? Every computer requires a different unlock key. Somebody else giving you there's wouldn't work.

Yeah. Why the f**k would you be pirating something which you obviously have paid for. You'd be digging your own (and the community's) grave!
...and it's illegal - as well as a kick in the balls for the guys at Ableton. Whom I choose to support wholeheartedly.
