I have got Spark2 into a drum rack YET I cannot get sound to trigger I have Spark set to General Midi so should work..
...What am i missing...

You need to change the input note of the pad. By default they are each a chromatic note. You can change the pad hosting your vst to receive ALL midi notes. Then no matter which note you trigger, that note will trigger a note in the vst.
The downside is, you might want to place an unused device into each slot that is intended to trigger because they will all appear to be blank and inactive.
