Ableton Forum

This is a brand new install of Live 9.2.2 (64 bit). It keeps hanging on the "initializing audio input/output". Running this on a macbook pro. Is this a common problem? Appreciate any help.

What soundcard are you using? Do you have the latest drivers for it?

This is also what I'm seeing on the log.txt file as the last entry:

Same thing happening here. I contacted Ableton support and they seemed to think it was a midi driver problem. I deleted a few old drivers and it worked ok for a few hours then started happening again.
I am now running a very sparse set-up to try and pin the problem down; just a keyboard and audio interface. Still happening though using two different keyboards and two different audio interfaces, a Focusrite Scarlett i8i8 or an Apogee One.
Funnily enough though, Logic is working fine but iTunes is displaying similar tendencies, and freezing a lot. Like it or love it iTunes has always been very stable for me.
Latest versions of all software, but am still using Yosemite. A late 2012 iMac with loads of ram.

Have you tried upgrading to Live 9.2.3? Does it still hang?
