CamelCrusher in El Capitan?

Just took the leap to El Capitan b/c my Ableton and Arturia software had the go-ahead. However, upon opening some tracks, CamelCrusher AU/VST is now missing. It's still in my VST library, but it's not showing up in the list. This is causing a slight panic b/c I've used this in dozens of tracks since '09.
With CamelCrusher's developer out of business, am I screwed? Does it require their direct involvement, or will a tweak on Apple's end fix this issue? What options do I have?
Thanks for any input. Specs below.
MacBook Pro 13" 2.8GHz Intel i5 / 16GB RAM
Live 9 Suite v.9.2.3 64-bit

Try installing and using the AU version...
Prob a long shot, but worked for me with a few older plugs (destroy effects, et al).
Or roll back the OS (bummer)..
Still... the writing is on the wall

I just discovered the same issue...

For fuck's sake Apple, why?
I guess it's time to find another comparable distortion plug-in.
Anyone got any recommendations?

Have you tried turning off AU and VST completely in Preferences and then reactivating them again?

I just tried the VST version of Camelcrusher 1.0.1.457 in Live 9.6 64bit and there seems to be no issues seeing it the list nor adding it to a track and using it.
