Would like to buy one, but can only select the creditcard option. Even though it says paypal is supported.

Anyone else with same issue?

I bought mine from Ableton using paypal (EU)... I don't remember doing anything special, its an option when you get to payment iirc.

I just noticed, the Paypal option becomes available when NOT turning in a Push 1. Basically Ableton doesn't trust their long-term customers, that bought expensive products before. Now that I'd like to make another expensive purchase, as well as doing them a favor by turning the Push 1 in for a shit price, they refuse to accept it.

Easy man. They probably don't use PayPal for trade ins because if they need to make a change to the refund based on what you send them, they can't automatically do it like they can with a credit card. It's nothing personal, you don't have to get so worked up over it.

Alright, I shouldn't rage about it. And I do understand that it probably is impossible to charge people that send in deficient Push 1s.

But on the other hand, as an early adopter for a pricy product (I think we agree that this involves a high level of trust from the customer), I just expected a little more goodwill/mildness from Ableton.

That is weird. Maybe they have capped the maximum amount of tradeins by paypal.

yup, mine was a trade-in too, and as I said paid with paypal no issue

they told me, that paypal is only not possible for preorder ! You have to wait till they have some in stock, than it should be working.
