I load a sample in Simpler, and I setup some nice filter settings. Then, when I load a new sample by browsing from Push 1, it reinitializes Simpler, and I lose those original filter settings.

However, DRAGGING a sample into Simpler keeps my original filter settings.

Is there a way to not reinitialize Simpler when loading samples from Push 1?

Are you sure you're browsing while in the Simpler sub pages on Push, and not the instrument? The former will load a new sample, the later will reload samples as new instruments.

IE, push the button above Simpler on the Push to access to the settings for warp, global evnvelopes, etc, then press Browse.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried it both ways with the same result - Simpler reloads. I do not have a warp parameter available anywhere on Push 1 when I am controlling a Simpler. I wonder if these things are Push 2 only?

There is a hot swap button on Simpler's title bar and also one in its sample window. Pushing browse on Push 1 always engages the top level hot swap.

Interesting, I assumed you could still dive into the different simpler pages on the P1 and this would work.

Yeah - there is a lot of stuff missing from Push 1 (aside from what you'd expect, e.g., slicing controls). I cannot even turn Simpler's filter envelopes on/off from Push 1.

So, I just opened my Push 2 and tried this. It behaves the same as Push 1. Are you sure you are able to browse and load samples in Simpler without reloading Simpler?

Yes, I've been doing it all day.

Same here, if you add a new sample the settings you have desappear and you have to do all over again.

Yep. That is what is happening here. The only way I can get it to ONLY replace the SAMPLE is to hit browse and THEN click my mouse in the bottom right corner of Simpler's sample window to enable hot swap mode on the SAMPLE and not the instrument.

LOL. I'm guessing it was always reloading the device for you. But, maybe you did not notice? I dunno. Thanks for checking.

It's possible, but I was specifically struggling with this issue myself yesterday. I noticed it was always reloading the device even though it had told me to press browse to find audio files. Then I tried from within the SImpler sub-pages, and it was working. Hmm, I'll experiment some more. The project I'm working on uses a lot of Simplers, so I'll have plenty of chances.

I'll update here if I find anything.
