Hey guys, I'm glad you are updating the basic devices, but could you take another look at the layout of the essential controls



one of these interfaces is not like the others.

yes, yes, I know - you press the little square which is actually a tab control which displays the envelope controls and then at the top of that is the envelope depth - a text box.

But this is bad because it is removed from its siblings (Freq, Res, Vel depth, Key Depth). Env is alone amongst these in being tabbed and displaced. It's very weird. Especially when considering the examples above. Freq, Res, Env, Key and Mod are more usually grouped together.



can you resolve this please?

Suggested GUI re-organisation.

the tabs take on a tab metaphor.
the Env depth joins its friends Vel depth and Key depth

Everything in this image is the same size as in the existing layout (filter & envelope displays are the same size). But in different positions

I agree with you.
It took me a while to find it and it is something you want to access frequently.

Agreed, the new Simpler has a pretty bad layout.
