Live Rookie Question: how to "extract" instruments.

Post by vanhaze » Sun Nov 22, 2015 8:09 pm

Dear people,

I installed Ableton Orchestral Mallets Live pack.
The pack opens up as a Live project.

Now how do i "extract" the instrument(s) from this project and how do i save them
to my own Live library, complete with the samples they use ?

I am confused ... any detailed help really appreciated ! :D

Macbook Pro 15", 8 Gig Ram, Mavericks 10.9, Novation Impulse, Maschine MKII, Live 9.1 (latest beta 64bit), Logic Pro X 10.04, Protools 11.02, just too many plugins.

The samples and the factory presets are already in your Live library. You can search for or just go looking in the Live browser.

If you want to save your own presets you can do that by clicking the little "disk" symbol in the upper right corner of the instrument or the rack, if the instrument is contained in one. Your presets end up in "User Library" in the Live browser. There's no need to save samples again.
Make some music!
