Please make a dedicated DSP card optimized for Ableton Live Devices and VST devices. I hate hitting 95+% CPU and dropping out. I use FREEZE track that helps, but I wish we can reduce CPU load with a Ableton specfic rack to condense this without freezing tracks. Similar to PT TDM cards

• Share DSP resources on Ableton Effects and Instrument racks
• Share DSP resources on compatible VST plug ins
• Cheaper than Receptor, Cheaper than UAD

Ableton PUSH DSP -
New generation of PUSH contains 2 DSP card slots under chassis.

Ableton DSP 1U -
Rackmount DSP unit connected via Thunderbolt or USB powered. 4 DSP card slots.

Ableton DSP Extreme 2U - UP to Eight DSP card slots

Installation - Install divers and enable DSP CARD

Multicore Processor - ON
Multicore Rewaire - ON
Multicore DSP - ON

Realtime Status

CPU METER (%) and DSP METER (%)

Practical uses
a. Greatly Reduce CPU Burden on custom drum racks
b. Greatly Reduce CPUburden on projects with 50+ track counts
c. Greatly Reduce CPU burden on Live devices, especially convo. reverb

What you are proposing here is not a simple thing from an engineering standpoint but I'd happily pay >US$1000 if our lovely friends in Berlin were to tackle such a crazy challenge!

They can easily team up with Texas Instruments, Moterola, AMD, Sharc, or another semiconductor company to produce 400mhz+ dsp procs for under $80 cost and 800mhz+ dsp for under $100, maybe $1+mil RnD, housing mfgr. housing and pcb another $50 at mass production and resell for $499 (msrp $799) for single core rack to $1,999 for octo-core rack. Save money on making a single pcb that supports multiple slot form factors for single to octo core, and just make core slots standard on Push V3, as it wont come with any but can be upgraded. Recoup 100% of cost after shipping 2,800 units and profitability after 4,000 units. The question is, are there 2,800-4,000 buyers out there for this product?

There are 500,000 FB Ableton followers, suppose 15% are actual paid users, that still 75,000 paid users, of that say 10% need a DSP card/rack - thats 7500 users that need a dsp card/rack.

This would compete with UAD, Powercore, TDM cards.

Is that feasable?

I like the idea... something like a universal audio dsp accelerator specifically for ableton. Dream come true.

Or even better have it be an audio interface so you can record straight in.

Oh that would be brilliant. Simple 2x4 for djs 4x6 home-studio and 8x8 for studio-surround Interface running up to 96k
