Drum Rack - Single sample as different notes?

Hey, I know that I can drag whatever sample I want into individual drum rack spaces, but is there a way to quickly set up a full drum rack with different instances of a single sample, but have each pad play the sample at a different note as they would play in order on a keyboard?
Basically I want to hook up an MPD or something similar, and play the 16 pads "like a keyboard" on occasion.
Thanks!

Well, you copy the same sample to each pad. They already correspond to different note numbers as you probably know. Then you do what you want in Simpler/Sampler to change the pitch or whatever.
Changing the root note is probably best option. Remember to check you have interpolation where you want it, especially if you're tuning the sample down.

I am not sure if I understand the aim of the question. You could use simpler/sampler directly in a track without any drumrack. In that case the played midi note goes to simpler/sampler.
