Thnx in advance for any answers

1. VST's
-- Is it possible to have more than one instrument on the same track ?
e.g. an Ableton VST and an External Instrument Track
e.g. the Toontrack EZDrummer VST and Ableton's Impulse
-- Sometimes VST's hold MIDI forever. Anyone know why?

2. Drop Area
I typically have enough tracks that I can't see the Drop Area. In such a circumstance, is there a way to
make a drop area show up?

3. Default Templates
Any favorite default templates that can be downloaded? My default template walks be through the process of making a song. I'm proud of it, but obviously seeking to improve on it.

4. Auto Filter
When you're manipulating the Auto Filter to add automation in real time, is there a way to make it
snap back to its default setting?

5. Delete Time
I'd like to "Delete Time" in such a way that if I later thange my mind, I can easily add it back. (equivalent to the "Hide" rather than "Delete" in Microsoft Excel). Is there such a feature?

6. Track Editor Grid
-- Is it possible to set a default grid (1/4 note) for the Track Editor.
-- Sometimes I'm working in Track Editor and want to find the same spot in the main window. Is there an easy way?

8. I often split audio files. When I adjust the tempo, the clips get separated. Is there an easy way to join them?

9. Locators
I often align locators with splits in tracks. Is there an automatic way?

10. VST's
I have an old synthesizer. Yamaha PSR-225. I love two of its sounds. I recorded just 10 seconds of each and put them on Soundcloud.

Does anyone know a VST that makes similar sounds, but higher quality?

To drag something in as a new track?

Just double-click to load it in or add a new Midi/audio track then drag it on.
3. Default Templates

I have dozens of starter templates for doing different material or recordings but they would almost all be useless to share since they include VST instruments and effects which is probably why none really exist.

Look into the creation of Instrument Racks first because these can be used to easily build templates when you want to get into creating some. Loading up a whole channel of instruments and effects in one go makes building templates quick and fun.

Here is a site with some nice free resources:

Auto create markers? No. Some may have hundreds of edits in arrangement and you wouldn't want a marker at each one. Press INS on the keyboard to create a marker
10. VST's

Haven't listened to the sample but if you love the sound and have recorded 10 seconds why not just record what you want from it or do some sampling and create your own virtual instrument from it using Live? Would be good to learn.

10. https://www.soundlib.com/samplit/

Sample those 2 sounds and make them kontakt patches using Samplit (or if you have MainStage, there is one inside, called AutoSampler)
