I have posted this issue on NI forums as well, and only one other person had it, though it seems like a bug with Maschine or Live 9.5

I have Maschine on a track, and when I hit play in Live, the cpu goes to 200%. I never had this problem before I updated to 2.4 and 9.5 respectively. Now I can no longer use maschine, and this is WITHOUT any vst loaded in Maschine and 30 tracks in Live. Maschine seems to be a major cpu hog now, I have to freeze it in order to play the project with out spikes.. Then unfreeze to edit maschine... this sucks... anyone else using Maschine with cpu issues? I m on a PC with 16 gb, i5 core, 3.2 ghz , 130 gb ssd. and external hd as well.. So it's not my system.

I have googled this issue and found many many forums with no obvious answer or bug... my interface is a Focusrite dsp pro 24, so its not that, and my buffer setttings have raised to 292..

Have you tried testing it without the interface?

ahh, I feel your pain... With the latest update, older projects that I've created in Ableton that would used to play absolutely smoothly, are now causing my cpu to ramp up between 50-80 percent. It's ridiculous actually.

I know maschine is a bit cpu heavy as a vst in ableton, which is why I don't use it anymore. I can't imagine trying to use it now! Hopefully the cool kids at ableton will address this cpu issue sooner than later.

I had a massive memory leak with maschine in 9.5 but i can't actually use it atm cause it's rvery sluggish when i load it but everything's mostly fine with the latest beta, have you tried that?

Do you have a lot of simplers running...the new audio engine in simpler is a beast and eats up CPU like crazy.

The lastest Public BETA seems to fix this. I'd imagine we'll see 9.5.1 really soon.
