Hi there,
I've just purchased a second hand BCF2000 and some things appear not to be ok:
The fader #1. When you turn on the BCF2000, all the faders go down except this number 1. It sends midi data with no problem, but it doesn't respond to 'remote changes'. For example, in Ableton I map this fader to a channel volume. It works ok. Then I record an automation. Ok. But when I play the track with the automation recorded the fader doesn't move at all. Beside that, when I change preset to #2 in BCF, the fader moves correctly to its recorded position along with the new preset...
The other problem:
- Top encoders #2,3,4,5,7 and 8 doesn't respond linearly when tweaking. I mean: when you tweak up and down, values doesn't go up and down following the tweak movement. Instead of this, they show a value and move around this value very slowly. For example, you tweak a knob from 0 to 30. It shows 0,1,2,3,2,3,4,3,4,3,4,5,4,5,6,5,6,7,6,7,8 and so on. Its completely annoying.
What I've done:
- With BCManager I've seen that top encoders are configured with absolute parameters and cc values. Nothing strange.
- I've resent firmware 1.10 to the unit.
- I've disassembled the unit. When I get to the encoders I see them hooked to the electronic tablet inside a cylinder and I think the problem could be inside that cylinder but I wasn't able to open it (feel like I'm going to break it)
- I have tried with different wires also.
I own a BCR2000 working like a charm and I'm used to work with music equipment of this type.
Please help!
BCF2000 issue with fader and 6 encoders

Ew did you really buy Behringer? Their products are known for busting and you probably got a defective unit.

Super late reply, I know, but if you still got the BCF2000, check out my MIDI remote script! (its free)
I've included controls for the usual things, like volume and mixer controls, transport controls, scrubbing and skipping, looping, and more. But one huge thing I added is EQ8 functionality.๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐!
Oh, and a session box with โฌ and โก buttons, so you can move one track at a time (instead of jumping 8 tracks like MackieControl Mode does
)
There are different pages for the different uses. On some pages, the faders control track volume, while on others, they control EQ8 gains and resonance. Likewise, the encoders control panning on some pages, and EQ8 frequencies on others.
The buttons in the top left rows are solo and arm for the first page, and the transport controls for all the other pages

This thing has really helped me with writing volume automations, but my favoritee part is the EQ8 mapping. Adjusting the EQ8 parameters with faders and knobs has enabled such a better process for me. Just having the ability to sweep, apply gain, and kill frequencies, without needing to click and click and click.... the mouse, its truly enjoyable using this instead.

Anyway, hope it helps anyone out there using a BCF2000 still.
There are links on my gumroad page to take you to other places like the Youtube explanation and some 3D models, if you want to replace the faders and knobs as well.
