Behringer XTouch Transport Question

Hi,
I just added the Behringer XTouch to Live 9.5 and everything seems to be working (although some of button mappings don't seem to make sense.

One thing that has absolutely got me stumped is how to set Live to playback where I stop. If I hit the stop button on the transport and then hit play after that, playback starts from where my original marker was set, and not where I hit stop. How do I make it so that playback resumes from where I stopped? :?:

try to hold shift on your keyboard while you're hitting play again. this works at least for pressing space on the keyboard to resume from the last stopped position instead of the static marker.

Ok, thanks.

So there's no way to do it from Mackie Control?

I figured it out.

Had to hit the SHIFT button on the XTouch with the Play button!

Works now!

Is there any Xtouch (preferably full size controller) users today using it with live 9.7? What buttons or combination of buttons on the xtouch do what?

How do you split a clip? Of course the Trim button doesn't work?
Is their a script or M4L device that I can use to MIDI map the X-touch with?

Appreciate any help :)

I use a Mackie MCU, same thing.

You would need a template mask over the front as many buttons won't make sense.

I also use Bomes MIDI translator to change some of the buttons and make use of the user function buttons to add things like copy, paste, split, loop selected etc. probably the easiest thing.

Yep, thanks Bomes is the way to go.

Bomes can be a bit of a confusing thing to start with but it's worth the trouble. I have a simple script I use to start Live and Bomes because you have to have it running and create a "virtual MIDI port" to rout the input of a controller through Bome.

A few cool things you can do though:

- Grab any MIDI message and convert it to another MIDI, Controller port, keystroke, etc.
- Create complete maps and switch easily between them
- Change mappings on-the-fly
- create complex macros
- Send keyboard keystrokes to a MIDI device
- So much more

Worth the $99 purchase for the full version, best tool I own.

Wow was it $99 when you got it? It's about $65 today. More reason for me to pick it up.
