hi,

forgive me if I'm missing something here.

I want the new simpler to behave like the old one by default.

a common workflow for me is to drag a bunch of one shot drum hits into a drum rack.

i need full adsr envelopes for all the instances of simpler that would be created for these samples.

i also use the "copy value to siblings" command for making all samples in a drum rack have the same envelope, for example.

in the new simpler, all these drum hits go in as "1-shot" mode in the new simpler, with the reduced envelope option and warping on.

if I want to make this behave like the old version, it takes 3 mouse clicks -- 1. activate classic mode, 2. disable "loop", 3. disable "warp", and I can't copy these settings to the siblings in the drum rack, so I'd have to do this for every drum hit in the rack that I want to change to the old simpler.

does anyone know how to change the default simpler setting so that I don't have to do this for however many drum hits I drag into a drum rack?

changing the settings as I want and selecting "save as default preset" is not changing the default behavior when dragging in lots of samples into a drum rack.

You need to save a drum rack with a simpler (set up how you want it) in the user/defaults/dropping samples folder

Not a drum rack, just drag the simpler to the "On Drum Rack" subfolder you find there.

however this only results in the default simpler mode being set to "classic", which is a start, but the default setting is still with "loop" and "warp" on, even though the simpler I dragged into this folder location had these options disabled.

any ideas?

+ 1 I would be happy with a "1 shot" with full ADSR option.
