Push 2 Problem

I have got my Push 2 last week and first thing i have noticed was packaging. When i opened it i saw that it is not originally packed. Fingertips all over the place, and specially on play button. Few encoders are noticeably lighter to turn than others especially 4th on the left which is used most. I purchased new device from Ableton dealer in Croatia. He said that he get the device directly from Ableton in that condition packed like this and he said that he emailed Ableton about this problem and waiting for response. Have any of you guys experienced similar situation? How about your encoders? Push was packed in this kind paper, and not in transparent like i saw in many of unboxing videos. What should i do?

I sent them an Email today but they are on Christmas holidays. How about your encoders? Are difference in weight noticeable? Not asking about Tempo encoder. I know it feels sluggish.

Mine are all pretty close, a couple might be a tiny bit looser. Honestly all my gear has always had at least slight differences between some of the knobs, and often with use they all end up the same anyway.

The tempo knob is a different step encoder, and all units have the same feeling, nothing wrong, and wont affect its life time, they say.

Hi lovelight. Yes i konw about tempo encoder and it is not a problem for me as i barely use it. I am worried about 4th encoder which i use most for browsing. It is much lighter than others.

there shouldent be any problem with the rest of the encoders, so if your 4th is sluggish, and you receive your Push 2 as explained i would ask for a new one
Since it sounds like its been used, and not new. Who knows how it had been used ?
heres an unboxing video:

I just got mine and the encoders are very different... one is very loose, one is pretty stiff and one actually goes from loose to extremely tense (barely movable) and then back to loose. The master volume knob also exhibits this behaviour, I am certainly returning this unit. I'm pretty ok with everything else though... except really wondering if the pads are a downgrade from push 1 to push 2. Either way its getting returned from the encoder issue alone.
