I started out at like 100BPM and gradually made my way down to 75, but now I'm so deep into the project that increasing it to 150 would mess with a lot of things going on. Isn't there a way to 2x or 1/2x the metronome tick?

Change the time signature. I think 8/8? I'm a bit rough with rhythm theory... 8/4?

If you're not doing the pre count, you can make a metronome on a new channel instead.
