Max for live essentials pack won't install properly?

I'm running windows 10 and Live 9.5. When I download the max for live essentials pack (which I've done three times now) and drag the .alp file into ableton, the whole loading bar comes up, but after it's finished, I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Please help.

It's not showing up in 'Packs' in your browser?

No, it's weird. I haven't had this problem with other packs, like the stock ones that came with ableton or a couple of other ones I've downloaded (I'm installing another one right now).
It just copies really quick (like a couple of seconds) and then I can't see it anywhere, even when I search for the plugins.
