i have a large sample library as im sure a lot of you do... and im desperate here to find out how this is possible...
i want to search for "snare" inside a certain folder in my library.
this certain folder happens to have separate folders inside it
so i search "snare", while having selected this folder in my places
when i do this, my search results will only show me the folders where my results are, but not the files.
i have to manually expand each folder to hear the snare sample.

how does this make any kind of sense? i just want results i can quickly arrow key down and listen to from a certain folder!
i understand that searching "All Results" will give you actual files you can scroll and listen to very fast....
but what about getting results like that but only within a specific folder? i dont want results from all 180 gigs of samples...just snares inside "LOGAN!!!!"

am i crazy for thinking this is such a basic feature....what gives?

thanks in advance

I'm afraid it's just the way it is. The idea probably being to keep the folder structure, which also makes sense in some situations.
"All results" is the way to go... but adding your folder name in your search should work.

I'd suggest using the ADSR Sample Manager plugin (which is free!)

Makes organising, searching and previewing large sample libraries super easy
