hi there,
i'm one of those boring pretentious djs who's given up all the heavy gear and trying to setup fully digital. i've been reading triugh some posts around here and noticed many here use the
echo indigosoundcard. i was going to go for the
numark dmx01 USB mixer. dunno what to do... what you suggest?
thanx for yer help,

i think this mixer simply mixes 1 stereo channel with the regular dj channels...is that what you want?

well, this mixer has two usb channels so you can use one as public output while the other one as a preview. you could also record your output in the same laptop. it's 24 bit. it also has a sub bass synthesis...

if you're gonna be going out DJing u want to be as compact as possible. A lot of clubs may not have room for an extra mixer. I would go for the indigo.

I beg you not to use the sub bass. Please. It's horrible. Absolute mud, no clarity - and it only gets worse on large systems. It's like there's a truck driving past your turntable needle all the time, it's just a low rumbling.
I own a numark PPD-9000. If you want more bass, use your EQs to drop your mids n' highs a touch, then pump up the main volume.
