It would be nice to be able to manage various controller scripts through the preferences window.

i think he wanna edit them from the preference...
like hacking push`s colours & scales directly from preference inside.
therefore they would need to implement a text-editor and python-live-updater
better put this possibilitys under "develepment-mode" so it will not make life more waky
then it already is sometimes... to much modules like max4l, jbridges, midi-jokers ect..
quick its going hard to determine from where instabilities are coming from.

I am on PC and have been working on a live performance set up. I've had PXT and recently purchased Oktopush. In both cases because of updates for Live I had some trouble getting them up and running. Oktopush because of max integration was a simple fix, I reinstalled max for live after checking ableton for updates. PXT was a bit harder because of the whole hidden files thing and allowing permissions that PC users may have to deal with. When loading remote scripts into Live on a PC. So at the time of my post I was rather frustrated with the way I need to interact with Live in order to get back to building my performance setup.
What I imagined was perhaps a tab in preferences that allows you to see the contents of the remote script folder. With a browse button to search folders for various midi scripts 3rd party or user created. And a way to get those scripts into the folder with out all the computer science.
