Push 2 - change scale when launching clips?

I used to use Snap n Scale or Clyphx Push Actions to change scales when launching clips with the original Push.
None of these methods currently work with Push 2.
Has anyone found a way to do this on Push 2 using maybe M4L or some other method?

As the trade-in period is coming to an end, I was finally looking into Push 2, but the more I try to find convincing arguments to do it, the more reasons I find to not go ahead. PXT is a big one, and seeing this thread, it seems some functionality of clyphx isn't working for Push 2 as well... mmh.

None of the ClyphX "Push Actions" work with Push 2. Currently, Push Actions only work with the original Push.
I can't use Push 2 to its full potential without Push Actions. I'm crossing my fingers that "
Push 2 Actions" will be implemented in ClyphX soon. I'm surprised that there doesn't seem to be a huge outcry for them.

Bit more work, but you can make presets for the "Scale" midi device and hotswap them.

this is essential for my workflow, but even more i would love to:
Send PUSH1 via ClyphX into PXT-AccessoryMode and AutoCapture the Scale from the selected Clip..
Thats specially is USEFULL when you have own scales combined with keyswitchable instruments
for playing Live live.
i could not figure out how the ClyphX command would look like to sent native Push1 into PXT-Mode`s Capture
function. i am not sure if that is possible at the moment..
how would the midi-preference look like to make that working ?

clyphx actually has an action to capture the currently used Push(1) scale. It's captured in the clip's name and every time the clip is launched, it sets the corresponding scale on Push.

Ableton Live API provides properties to change the scale for the control surface. It looks the same for Live versions 9.6 and 9.7.

Properties are :
Live.Song.Song.root_note : Set and access the root note (i.e. key) of the song used for control surfaces. The root note can be a number between 0 and 11, with 0 corresponding to C and 11 corresponding to B.
Live.Song.Song.scale_name : Set and access the last used scale name for control surfaces. The default scale names that can be saved with a set and recalled are: 'Major', 'Minor', 'Dorian', 'Mixolydian', 'Lydian', 'Phrygian', 'Locrian', 'Diminished', 'Whole-half', 'Whole Tone', 'Minor Blues', 'Minor Pentatonic', 'Major Pentatonic', 'Harmonic Minor', 'Melodic Minor', 'Super Locrian', 'Bhairav', 'Hungarian Minor', 'Minor Gypsy', 'Hirojoshi', 'In-Sen', 'Iwato', 'Kumoi', 'Pelog', 'Spanish'
Nevertheless, I tested these calls and the effectively change the scale in the session, but
Push2 is not notified by the change unless you reload the file or reboot it.
I guess we are expecting not a property but a method with the ability to notify the controller.
As is I guess no one can achieve this, including Clyphx or any library.
Lots of songs include scale change and I don't understand why ableton does not provide an API method to change it dynamically for push play. Maybe for the next version...

Has anybody had any luck with this? Or found a work around with a m4l device?
Being able to change key or scale during a set without going through the menu would be really useful.

Just adding my voice to the mix that this would be an extremely useful functionality, especially for performance.

ClyphX v2.5.9 (released today) now supports the Push2 control surface in generally the same way that it supports the Push control surface. So, for example, you can change Push2's scale settings via X-Clips.
