Recording traktor timecode from DJM850

Hi and thanks for any help,
I'd like to setup my home studio to record a sample from tractor into ableton but also recording the crossfader cuts on the DJM850. I'm looking for a simple way without added software like audiojack. If i just make a audio track in ableton and pick the DJM as audio in will i record the master out of traktor? ( i.e.. my cuts and scratches )
setup:MacBook pro, Traktor 2.whatevers newest scratch pro , DJM850 running timecode, ableton 9 suite, Focusrite Clarett 8 pre Audio interface.
I'm at work atm and my dj setup is still in boxes from a move. I'd like to have this going this weekend so figured id ask if anyone is running this and save me some time.
Cheers
