Hello guys

I have an audio track armed and I have selected a 1 bar count in, in the preferences I have selected 'start playback when record' but when I hit record, it just starts playback and recording without a count in. It seems to be disabled. Any help resolving this would be much appreciated thanks.

hey, make sure there is no clip currently in the slot you are wanting to record into. once there is a clip there, it won't count in.

Thanks for the reply may friend but I'm recording automation over the clip in session view and need to hear the clip playing. I am working on tutorials and this is done in the tutorial and it's as simple as clicking a 1 bar count in from the menu. Just not working in my version of live and it's the latest version too.

Got it. Are you syncing live to an external midi device?

I am experiencing this too. It's totally frustration because the bug is sporadic. The count-in works when there is a new track but then it stops working and will not count off. Just downloaded latest version on Windows 8.1 machine.

are you using a custom default track?

I had this problem. I noticed that when the "Link" button (upper left-hand corner) is activated, the count-in options gray-out. I deactivated "Link" and count-in worked again.
