I have struggled for hours and it seems there is no way to record audio over a previously recorded clip with just using a control surface. I have to select a clip with a mouse and then delete with a keyboard. I would like to press the MIDI Overdub button and a previously recorded audio clip on my Akai APC20 but I can only record in empty clips so I am forced to use mouse and keyboard.

I guess no one has any idea how to do this, I purchased a push 2 controler and figured out you can do this by pressing the delete key and then pressing the clip you want to remove. I wish there was a way to do this on the Akai APC20.

The APC is more a performance controller than a studio/editing controller so it's not got all the editing features as such.
