Slow Down effect in Ableton Live

Post by JohCoo » Wed May 18, 2016 11:47 am

Hello guys,

I have question I hope you understand what I meaning because It's hard for me to explain something in english. :?
How can I slow down or uplift the tempo in Ableton Live?
For example the song from Deorro: "Five Hours". How can I make an effect which sounds like the "slow down effect" in minute 2:54?
-> link: https://youtu.be/ovqaLaSLbDU?t=2m54s
I have a sliced sample and want to make this effect. But I don't know how.

I hope you understand me :)

you can try to automate the arpeggiator speed in free mode.
there's no need for a tempo or pitch change

I'd favour using the tempo if you want it to be global across all tracks. If it's an audio file set it to repitch mode in the sample editor at the bottom and slow the tempo down, that will give you a tape slowdown effect.
