Question - Changing Clip Launch Mode - MIDI Mapping

Hey all - I am currently working on a live performance that heavily utilizes clip launch mode properties. What I am doing is imagine a column of 8 clips with all of their launch properties set to 1 bar. So after pressing the first clip, it launches the next clip after 1 bar, and then it keeps going and circling back in on itself until I stop.
My question is this: While the clips are launching into each other, I am trying to find a way to change the live properties of one clip to cause it just continually to loop that one clip and stop it from launching to the others - and then being able to reverse that and go back to the previous launching method I described above.
Launch properties cannot be MIDI mapped so I am really wondering if there is ANY way you could do this. Just thought i'd ask you guys

Super thanks in advance.

There are different types of Launch modes. There are Gate, Toggle, Repeat I think.
Repeat (or whatever it is) might be what you are looking for.
It's behavior is, if you tap and let go of it, it plays as a standard clip. If you keep it pressed, it will loop it's beginning repeatedly until you let go of it.
I haven't tried it with Follow Actions and a launchpad/push though, so I don't know if either of those two elements would let it go smoothly. I'm going to have to try it today. Sounds like a fun experiment.

So you want one clip to play to the end... Then the next one launches and loops until you choose to let it play the next clip at it's end yeah?
Let me know if that pretty much covers it, and if you have MaxforLive...

Hey guys ! Thanks so much for the responses
Yur - yes you got it man. I am familiar with all of this, but I am looking for another level of automation which I am not sure is possible. See my response to S4 below.
S4 - my friend! I have Suite and Max4Live. To clarify the functionality I made another simpler example:
- I have 3 clips, each are 1 bar in length
- Each clips launch mode is set to next
- When I trigger the first clip, it launches the next clip after a bar (normal launch mode functionality) and after 1 bar, it launches the next clip. Finally when the third clip finished, it relaunches the first clip (and the cycle goes on forever).
- So pretend i've played this 3 clip launching loop for 10 minutes. I now want to find a way (I have a Push 2 and an APC40 as well) to, while performing live, click something so that instead of 1->2->3->1->2->3 it goes (assuming I do this for clip 2) 1->2->2->2->2->2. Note: I could have done this for 1, 2, or 3, to cause them to just simply continually repeating themselves. After another 10 minutes, I get tired of the repetition, so I press this magical button and it goes back to before : 1->2->3->1->2->3->1->2->3
Does that help? Let me know what you think

Ok...
Turn off your Follow Actions and have them set on the fly instead with our Follow device...
You can MIDI Map to have them change to next, or switch it to again. Each time the new clip (or the same one) will trigger at the current clips end...
