Has anyone tried using ircamax 2 devices under ableton x64 & windows 64 with a CPU aged before intel "core i" < 2nd geenration ?
i suspect some externals for windows 64 compiled with AVX extensions, which aren't available before intel core i 2nd generation
no answer from ircam guys .....
waiting for an answer of ableton support

Hi everybody !
Maybe it's not the right place to ask my question but I have an issue here with IRCAMAX 2. When launching live, a window appears.
It's written :
psychoirtrist~ (pitch synchcronous yin-based choir synthesis) version 5/2014 (18)
by Norbert Schnell, IRCAM - Centre Pompidou
viddll.engin version: 1.0.3
live.object • set id: invalid id
live.object • get: no valid object set
live.observer • set id: Invalid id
The last line is repeated 8 times. What is it ? I precise that I have both last version of Live and M4L.
Thank you.

what object is this from? It's the viddll engine that's the problem, not the IRCAMMAX 2. I tested all the objects and they're all fine.

are you on Max 7?

Hi radioonmars,
Thanks for answering. It's a window shown by Max for live when opening Live 9 (last version).
No I use Max for live, no Max. I've got the last version of Max for Live 9. What's the viddll engine ? Can I resolve this problem alone ? Sounds bad...
I've got a screen picture but can't load it on this forum, or didn't found the way to do it.

Best to post on the cycling forum about viddl
Or keep trying Ableton support...
Cheers

I think you need to specify what device this is, what computer and version of Max. As I mentioned, I tried them all and they work fine. But your problem looks like something with viddll.

Thank you for answering,
My MacBook Pro mid-2012 runs Ableton 9.6.2 and Max 7.2.3. (Max for Live) 0SX El Capitan 10.11.5
I still don't understand what is viddll. If it's video stuff on Max, I never use it. Just use plug ins.

Seriously no one hear is likely to know anything about viddl it's a specialist part of max and is there whether you use it or not....

Thanks, I contacted Ableton support service. I will see then what's the problem.
