How do I automate an aux delay effect track from impulse?

I'm using impulse sending a snare to another track for a delay effect. How can I automate it to stop on the the last bar? I'm in session view, thanks for your help.

The easiest way would probably be to make a "dummy track" that acts as your aux effects track and you send your return track audio out directly to or alternatively if this dummy track just gets audio directly from your source track.
  • In this track you make an empty audio clip, of a bar length or so. Just record one bar of silence.
  • Show the Envelopes Box of the clip — the "E" button under the Clip View.
  • Then find the parameter that you want to affect in the menus of your effect inside Envelopes and click "Linked" at the bottom so it says "Unlinked".
  • To the right of this button change the length of the envelope to the same length as the clip you're sending from.
  • Record or edit this envelope.
Make some music!
