Hi Damian,

we know about this bug. It will be fixed as soon as possible.

Please see http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2038 for some workarounds for that problem.

Alex

Not only Peak, but Spark and SoundApp too...I'm guessing that if I had any other sound editors they'd be unavailable too  Please hurry and fix this, I'm sure you're trying
Cheers

Hi muthafunka,

it's clear that it is not related to Peak or any other sample editor. It's a bug of Live. Currently the question is if the workarounds described in http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2038 will help you for the moment to choose a sample editor.

Alex

Strange little bug. I can't select Bias Peak 3 in Mac OS X.2, Live 2.0.
But i can use Spark ME for editing. For now, i'm using Spark in my Preferences until things are updated.

Hi chairman,

which version of Live do you use? Is it already Live 2.0.3?

Yes, i certain i'm using 2, but i'm not completely sure which version of 2. I purchased it from a local dealer within the past month. I specifically asked the salesman for OS X.2 compatibility for my I-Book (640MB, 30G).

Also, i'm having a problem with the "New Live Set". When i call for a new project file (which should be a blank set), Live opens a previous Song that i must of somehow replaced with the default "New Live Set"??

Thanks

Hi hao do,

please look into the About dialog of Live to see which version you have. If it's not version 2.0.3 please go to the download section of our website to donwload version 2.0.3.

Concerning the "New Live Set" you probably have set a so called Template song someday that is always opened when you make new or start Live. You save the current song as template by pressing 'Save' in the Defaults section of the Live preferences dialog.

The template song is called "Template.als" and is located in the Preferences folder of Live. Assuming you have version 2.0.3 it's .../Preferences/Ableton/Live 2.0.3/Preferences". When you remove this song "New Live Set" will create a clean song.

Alex

Alex,

Thanks for the reply. I previously sent Tech Support, but you've beat them to it. And you've solved my Template Error.

I found out i got 2.01. Would i be able to download 2.03 for free, and what differences does it have from what i'm using?

I-Book w/ OS X.2, A- Live 2.0, Reason 2.0, M-Audio Quattro (beta-driver), Roland MC-505, Roland PC-300 keyboard, Ensoniq EPS keyboard, AKAI MPC 2000.

Thanks,

Hao.

Hi Hao do,

it's just the difference of email quantity between our tech support and me. Because our tech support (aka Christian) get's 50 times more emails about a lot of different things. And I already get a lot. So it will take some time.

Of course the update to Live 2.0.3 is free if you're already using Live 2.0.1. You should really update because beside the issue with the Peak there are some other fixed bugs and improvements.

Please read this thread about fixed bugs from Live 2.0.1 - 2.0.2
