The default midi velocity in the step sequencer is 100.

Currently push/hold a sequencer event in note mode allows the edit of midi velocity and timing of that event.

I recommend that push/hold a pad in a rack (NOT an event) brings up the velocity window in exactly the same way and so enables the change of the default midi velocity for that pad for use in the step sequencer.

This should not change the ability to alter a midi velocity event as currently exists, simply to change the default midi velocity of a pad on a per pad basis.

Well, not the way i suggested, but live 9.7 fixes this problem in a different way with the 16 level settings.. excellent!

it's great but it only works in the Drum Rack layout, so i put in a suggestion over at Centercode (SUG-2380) for the 16 Velocities 4x4 chooser to temporarily pop up by holding the Accent button.
