I use this sometimes dozens of times in a complex project; it would save me tons of time if there were a keyboard shortcut assigned to this one! Please and thank you.

Open your default template, hit cmd-k (or ctrl-k on win)... and assign a key to the add locator button. Save as your new default template. Done.
