Session view clips don't launch

Ladies and gentlemen, hello.
I'm not even that new to Ableton live but a complete rookie at session view. My aim is to record instruments etc. into session view and create scenes and play them sequentially, so pretty basic!
But when I record clips into session view and try to play them back, the playback lasts a split second and then cuts out. This must be related to bar length or whatever of the clips in Session view.
So where do I find this?
My screen looks like this:

Thanks!

Try changing your launch mode to "trigger." Sometimes gate will stop the clip when you let up on a control button sending both the down (start) and up (stop) signal to the program.

Sageman, that worked, great!
So the next thing I want to do is I want clips in a group to trigger the following one automatically, and I'm managing to do that with follow actions. But I just want them to trigger when the clip reaches its end, not after a certain amount of bars (7 bars in the screenshot below, for example).

Is there an easy way of setting that up?

Why don't I want to? I guess my music is so damned organic I don't need bars. Hahaha. No, I just think it's so obvious that it should exist and its quicker than the bars. Plus I use live instruments, I usually use my foot/ brain not a metronome.

Interesting approach... I like a click myself but to each his own...
What I would do is first crop your audio file so that that the clip starts on the 1. This is just a thing I would do so that I can pin point where I want the follow action to occur easier.
Then I would change the "follow action" from 7-0-0 to 5-2-0 which should trigger the follow action at bar 5's mid point which is very close to where your clip ends (I think.) You may have to adjust it just a little but it looks close on what you sent.
Try that and see if it works.

Number of the Bard sounds like a hardcore folk album

@Sageman or others who might know:
I tried doing what you said and basically it works but with one killer flaw:
For example on this clip (see link below), when it gets to the end of 2:3 as specified in the clips follow action, it then hangs for about a bar before actually playing the next clip.

Here is a screen grab of the next clip:

Any ideas why it's doing this? I'm set to trigger mode and global quantization is on 1/32.
Thanks!
