Tapemachine workflow

Hi!
Can anyone suggest a workflow where I can compensate a rerecorded signal that goes through my Tapemachine. I have one audiotrack with the precrecorded signal that I route to my 15 ips Taperecorder. The second audiotrack captures the tape signal. Obviously due to the two tapeheads there is latency introduced. I could ofcourse manually allign the tapetrack to the oroginal signal but I was wondering if there is another way? Let's say I know excactly how much latency in samples or milliseconds is being introduced. Is there a plugin that can automatically allign those tracks based on the information that I have(latency in samples) ?
