So, here it is. Just start from a monthly/yearly subscription, as many companies do already, BUT, once you reach the actual selling price - it's yours forever. It's a common practice for ages with a real goods, why not to use it with a software? You pay monthly, if you for whatever reasons stop paying - you're blocked, can't use it. You can resume paying/using it at some point - no problems here. Simple. I'm sure that there are many people around who would like to buy Live but the price bites, and this method give them the chance to buy it. Even if they don't buy it in the end after using for a couple of months - nobody loose. Also many people totally dislike the idea of monthly subscription. But if you combine this both methods - everyone wins.

If you had used the search button you'd have found that a few similar threads already exist.
We do encourage users to do a little search before posting to avoid cluttering the forum.
