Mac: Safe to delete the files.db in Application Support?

Trying to clean up my HD a bit and I notice I have some fairly large files in User>Library>Application Support>Ableton. I have folders from various versions of Live from 7.x until 9.6. They all have a few folders and files in them, the largest being "files.db".

Is it safe to delete these? I imagine it is for older versions of Live, but how about the ones I still Use: 8.4.2 and 9.6.2?

I did a search in forums already, but maybe I used the wrong keywords because I wasn't able to find anything decisive on this issue.

Thanks in advance :)

Don't delete the ones for the versions you still use!

"files.db" is the index for Live's browser.

Hi, I'm also encountering this issue. I have three big files in my Live Database folder.
Live-files-32.db
Live-files-33.db
Live-files-34.db

Can I delete any of these? Why are they random numbers?
