I woke up at about 4am this morning after having this weird dream. Just installed Live on the new system last night so I think it went to my head a bit.

In the dream I was using an And-Gate to control parameters in Live. So if the velocity was under a set value it would send the signal to one synth or control, and above a velocity to another synth or control. Not often dreams give you an idea that could be useful

Another thought would be to use a square wave LFO to trigger said and-gate to create rhythmic effects

you can do this with midi and instrument racks-
put 2 chains in the rack - 1 synth in each, then split via racks velocity selector

True, but I was thinking of something a bit less refined
