I have a user folder that contains about 1.2GB worth of samples. For about a week now every time I dig through the folder in Live's browser Live completely freezes. Is my sample folder too large?

How much internal memory? Windows or OS X? Version? Live version? 32bit or 64bit Live? Sample library formats?

32GB Ram. Windows 10. Live 9.7 Standard 64bit. WAV Format.

That's plenty then even if you are using 24bit samples. Do you have any indications this actually would be memory related? I'd suspect the index process first. There is another discussion about Live library indexing that keeps running on certain systems elsewhere here. Can you open a process viewer like Task Manager to see what's running when this happens? Log system? Maybe there is a process that gets stuck.
