My Macbook Pro (2011) is dying, and I wonder if I buy a windows laptop now, instead of the new Macbook pro. What would you recommend - a Dell XPS 15 or a XMG?
I want an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, 1000 GB SSD (or more), 32GB DDR4 RAM and a good GPU, because I may use the laptop for VJing, too.

I have no clue about vj'ing, but don't invest in a laptop with a graphic card for ableton.
I bought a new laptop this year, and the Dell XPS was very high on my list. Went for MBP instead, because of the looks. My wallet hates me for it.

I highly recommend researching lenovo laptops. I got a refurbished p50 on ebay, bought extra ram, an m2 ssd drive altogether ended up wayyy cheaper than buying from them direct. 32gbs of ram, last of the fastesy skylake, an nvidia m2000 video card (i use Adobe cc too). A really good deal. And they automatically come with great warranty and backup

From my experience, both professionally and personally, it sucks unless you own a large company. They focus mainly on corporate market, keep that in mind.

the Dell XPS stuff has decent specs but a poor reliability record...
