Macbok Pro 13" 8GB RAM

I'm fiiiiiinally upgrading from my 2009 Macbook Pro, to the newest 2016 Macbook Pro 13". However, I'm buying the Macbook Pro 2016 from Best Buy for financing reasons. So no option to upgrade through Apple.

The Problem:
Best Buy does not carry any 16GB RAM models in 13" (only 15"), so I'm stuck with 8GB RAM.

Question:
Is the 8GB enough to run Ableton 9, and Arturia plugins? Or should I wait indefinitely for Best Buy to get 16GB model?

Notes to Consider:
I currently use my '09 Macbook Pro for work and it has been sketching out here and there. So there is some urgency in buying this.
I've heard the RAM in these are faster than the last models.
I have been going in an analog direction, so my predicted use for this is to come up with ideas outside of the studio using plugins, then come home and replace them by tracking real analog synths receiving midi.
Don't want 15", with my luck it's much more prone to physical damage.

Thanks errbody!

Will it work, yes. But that's really at the very low end I would recommend these days, apps and OS's seem to be taking more and more RAM lately. If you CAN wait, might be worth it just to see if you can get something that might be a bit more future proof considering what these cost.
