Slave device runs almost with twice the speed/tempo

I was helping out Tikayer last night, see: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=224875

I thought I could slave my old Yamaha RM1x to Live, but it actually runs with twice the speed/tempo - it seems so it doubles the clock somewhere.

The Yamaha RM1x only wants to sync in midiclock mode of Live, not to MTC. Never tried it before with Live, any thought on this?

Seems like filtering out control messages, helps here - very strange. Sometimes I suspect my MOTU Midi Timepiece AV from this sort of behaviour. Used to be the best, but maybe it's time to replace it with a newer sort of device.... BTW I filtered the CC on the RM1x. And strange enough does the RM1x don't want to be the master in the system.

I've seen this same problem synching the clock module in my Eurorack to Live. Ran at exactly twice the clock speed. I threw a clock divider into the mix and got around the problem, but what is weird is that it only did it that one night and hasn't happened since. No idea what caused it...

Check live's midi preferences and make sure you are only sending sync out on one of the motu's midi ports. I don't have the same motu device but, on my motu midi express I have had the same thing happen before when sending sync/clock out on multiple ports of the motu.
