have been usings a ZOOM G3X direct in via audio outs
downloaded OVERLOUD TH# as a plugin and put on an audio track on live
using a focusrite interface and going guitar direct to interface into ableton.
setting LIVE monitor IN or AUTO and using headphones through the focusrite picking up the master outs on ableton
i like a lot of the sounds but notice a slight latency lag which i never notice with running mic into the focusrite
am i missing something in the setup?
going in/routing differently?
any help, specially if you are using a gtr plugin with ableton
thanks.

Re: GTR Plugin like Overloud TH3 with Live
hi,
the extra latency is because you are now software monitoring through Live. your audio chain is something like this:
guitar -> interface ADC -> audio driver -> Live -> TH3 -> audio driver -> interface DAC -> headphones
the total amount of latency will be dependent upon your sample rate, audio buffer size, the latency induced by TH3, and also the latency induced by other plugins in your Live set.
what is your sample rate and buffer size? what other plugins are in your set?
also, how much latency is TH3 introducing? in Live 9 you can find this out by hovering your mouse over the plugin's title bar in the device chain at the bottom of the Live GUI...
