The new maschine 2.6 update with morphing snapshot looks super great : https://youtu.be/nQwJj14xGMI

I wonder if there is a similar app of max for life device that couldn do the same in Live.

Ha but it's it really the same? Can you do morphing?

I would suggest Clyphx instead of Kapture. Plus, it doesn't require max.

I have been wanting something like this for Push since I first saw the Maschine update, Kapture being the first device to come to mind, unfortunately it's not close enough.

If I remember correctly doesn't clyphx use clips to perform most of it's functions? via labeling I think? I personally would prefer to have a button mapped somewhere and not have to worry about any kind of setup.

I would be very ok with a max device that could do this, provided it isn't laggy like Kapture and it can morph like Maschine.

Clyphx also has 'x-controls' which lets you perform many functions with appropriately named racks.

Please check it out.

I'm not sure how it compares to Maschine, but you can check out ClyphX's snapshot features and morphing capabilities here. The morphing is demonstrated towards the end of the video.

Also, for the sake of clarity, almost all of ClyphX's actions can be triggered in a variety of ways, not just via clips. That's demonstrated here.

The SNAP (snapshot) action is one of the few actions that can only be triggered via clips. However, it's possible to use a button on a controller to create the clip and store the snapshot, so no clip-related set up is needed and snapshots can be created/stored dynamically. For example:
SEL/ADDCLIP; SEL/CLIP NAME [] SEL/SNAP ; SEL/PLAY SEL
