Bank change on the drum rack with push 1?

I know there have been many threads related to bank switching is ableton, but I have spent a couple hours reading all I could find and haven't found what I am looking for.
I am using the chain selector in an instrument rack to switch between banks of drum racks live. It works well and I can use a clip launch to automate it so I am mostly happy. However there is an issue doing this with drum racks. I am using the push 1 and have 1 drum rack per song. I am playing with a band. I want to be able to see which pads are populated on each drum rack as I switch, but so far all that happens is the pads in the rack in the first chain light up. This is pretty confusing live, as some kits only have 6 samples and some have as many as 64 with bass and drum parts.
Does anyone know a way to make the lit pads follow the selected chain?
